Product: Soil Vapor Extraction Description: Soil Vapor Extraction (SVE) systems are available in different configurations. Each SVE system is manufactured to meet your specific requirements. The determining factor behind the selection is the expected operating vacuum level and air flow capacity. Liquid-ring pumps (water- and oil-seal) are most suitable for vacuum levels greater than 15 inches of Mercury (inHg). Positive displacement blowers are more suitable for vacuum levels less than 15-inHg. Regenerative blowers are use for applications that require less than 100 inches of water column (inH2O). The two most commonly used SVE systems supplied by IMT are regenerative and positive displacement systems. Regenerative blowers are typically chosen for low to moderate flow rates and low to moderate vacuum requirements. Positive displacement blowers are more commonly used for higher flow and higher vacuum applications. Large applications may require vacuums greater than 15 inHg, for these applications, IMT can provide a liquid-ring system.
